Top Questions

In response to recent concerns in the media, we want to reassure our customers that all Hydroup bottles and tumblers are completely free of lead.
From the beginning, Hydroup has chosen to go beyond industry standards by using a safe, lead-free solder in all components. This is just one of the many ways we put your health and safety first.

Yes, you can!

Hydroup insulated bottles are designed to handle more than just water—they’re perfect for cold, carbonated, and even hot beverages.

Important: Please use caution when filling your bottle with hot liquids. Do not use it with drinks hot enough to scald, as extremely hot liquids can cause burns.

Stainless Steel Bottles:
The lids are top-rack dishwasher safe, and the straws can be placed in the silverware basket. While the stainless steel bottles are technically dishwasher safe, we highly recommend hand-washing them to help preserve their sleek finish and extend their lifespan.

Tritan™ Plastic Bottles:
All parts—bottle, lid, and straw—are top-rack dishwasher safe for your convenience.

No. Please don’t.

Stainless Steel Bottles:
Hydroup stainless steel bottles should never be placed in the microwave. Stainless steel and microwaves do not mix—unless you're aiming to become a viral "fail video." Trust us, it’s not worth it.

Tritan™ Plastic Bottles:
Even though our Tritan™ plastic is BPA- and phthalate-free, we strongly advise against microwaving. The leak-proof design can cause pressure to build up when heated, potentially forcing the lid open and spraying hot contents.

For your safety (and your microwave’s), keep all Hydroup bottles out of it.

Most Hydroup orders within the United States are delivered within 3–5 business days after fulfillment.

Wash before first use.
Lid is top-rack dishwasher safe.
Hand-washing the bottle is recommended to help preserve its finish.
Do not use harsh chemicals (such as bleach or abrasives).
Do not microwave, freeze, or boil.

Hydroup bottles are compatible with hot, carbonated, and perishable liquids, but please follow the precautions below to use them safely.

Warnings
Use caution with hot liquids.
The straw can pull liquid from the bottom of the bottle, where temperatures are often higher. This may result in burns or discomfort if consumed too quickly.

Carbonated or perishable liquids may build pressure.
Pressure buildup can cause leaks or cause the lid to open suddenly. Always open slowly and carefully to avoid spills or potential injury.

Always handle with care when using hot, fizzy, or perishable contents.

Product Care

For best hygiene and performance, we recommend washing your bottle after each use, especially if you've filled it with anything other than water.

Hydroup bottles are designed to make cleaning simple and hassle-free. Here’s how to care for each part:

Lid:
All Hydroup lids are top-rack dishwasher safe. For a thorough clean, remove the spout gasket using the built-in pull tab and wash it separately. Use a sponge or a straw brush to clean tight areas. For stubborn buildup, soak the lid parts in a mix of warm water and distilled white vinegar before washing.

Straw:
Straws are dishwasher safe—just place them in the silverware basket for easy cleaning.

Bottle (Cup):

Tritan™ Plastic: Safe for the top rack of the dishwasher.

Stainless Steel: Best cleaned by hand-washing with warm, soapy water to preserve the finish and insulation performance.

Always allow all parts to dry fully before reassembling and storing.

Stainless Steel Bottles:
Hydroup stainless steel bottles are built with double wall insulation, which keeps your drink cold regardless of the outside temperature. That means putting the bottle in the freezer won’t make your drink any colder—it just chills the outside. Technically, it can go in the freezer, but we recommend simply adding a few ice cubes for better results (and less risk of damage).

Hydroup Warranty

At Hydroup, we are committed to using only the highest-quality materials in our products. We stand behind our craftsmanship and proudly offer a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Please note that our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidents, drops, odors, negligence, or misuse. We also do not recommend disassembling the Travel Lids for cleaning purposes, as this may damage the lid and void the warranty.

We reserve the right to request photographic evidence of the issue, as well as a brief explanation of how the problem occurred, to ensure it qualifies as a manufacturing defect.

If your claim is approved, Hydroup will cover all associated shipping costs. To file a warranty claim, please use the contact form on our website or email us at support@thehydroup.com with your order number and the email address used at checkout. (A photo may be required to validate the claim.)

Once your request is submitted, a representative will reach out via email within 4 business days. Claims without photographic proof of the issue will not be accepted.

Warranty claims typically take 3–5 business days to process and 5–10 business days for shipping.

If you think your flask isn't performing at it's best, you can test the insulation of your flask by following the steps below:

Pour boiling water from a kettle or pot directly into the stationary flask, filling it all the way to the neck.
After about 5 minutes, feel the outside of the flask (below the neck).
If you feel any hot spots, the insulation has been compromised and you are eligible for a replacement flask.
If you do not feel hot spots, it could be a damaged cap/lid and you are eligible for a replacement cap/lid.
Exercise Extreme Caution:
When pouring boiling water into the flask to avoid burns.
Do not hold the flask while filling with boiling water.
Do not place the cap over the flask.
